New Region One Director appointed
I am pleased to announce that I have appointed Telly Whitfield as the Regional Director in Region I. Telly has been the Regional Community Developer in Region 2 for the past 3 years. Telly has a Masters Degree in Political Science from American University. He hopes to receive his Ph.D. in Public Administration and Policy from Virginia Tech in February. I know that Telly feels a strong commitment to this community and will be an asset to Region I.
I also want to recognize the outstanding work that Sarah Allen has done as Acting Regional Director in Region I over the past year. She has developed excellent relationships while continuing service integration and community capacity building efforts. She will continue as the Community Developer in Region I. I believe that Telly and Sarah will make a strong team in this region.
